I find this quote from a semi-old article oddly disturbing. Of course, I know it is straight up wrong. But the thought of @jackthorne somehow writing in a four year gap to better fit @DafneKeenās age is scary. A few months could make sense, but four years?! #HisDarkMaterials https://t.co/10H3RTZQMc
Maybe I should have continued my original thread, but here it is at least. First third of the book took me two days, the rest a month. I did actually manage to restrain myself. #HisDarkMaterials #TheBookOfDust #TheSecretCommonwealth https://t.co/pyzcRq5Vwo
SPOILER WARNING
I guess this is venturing slightly into spoiler territory, but I legit started fearing for peopleās lives at the end. Who says @PhilipPullman canāt kill a few important characters, with all the other crazy stuff happening.
SPOILER WARNING
Would be a logical next step after going from bad to worse in the later chapters. He even tricks us into forgetting about the badly hurt scholar on the train.
Also, this didnāt really happen. Only a slight bit of explanation, and not very satisfying. Hoping that @PhilipPullman closes it all out nicely in the last one. https://t.co/VddoZU5JzJ
In some time Iāll be sure to read it again. Definitely before vol. 3. TSC isnāt really a book, itās half of a book, so you really got to read them back-to-back. Maybe this was what @Rach_Makes planned all along for @HDMPod?
Finished The Secret Commonwealth this Friday. What a heartbreaking and emotional story. Still, I feel a bit hopeful for whatās next. And I fully get why people have been screaming at @PhilipPullman on Twitter, and offering to do his household chores in exchange for him writing.
Had a use case for this that worked out pretty well: When managing a WordPress site, and having to change settings in several plugins back and forth, I could have several tabs open, but grouped together. That way I also had space for my other non-related tabs. https://t.co/w1OQob8CzE
